Dark Season VI: Gothos has been loaded up at Amazon, which means it will take between 12 and 24 hours to become available (depending on how fast Amazon’s robo-monkeys are working today). It’ll cost the usual 99 cents / 78p at first, but there’ll be a free promotion at the weekend for those of you who are used to getting it gratis (which is fine by me). I’ll post an update when the book goes live.
I’ve picked up a few more reviews on Amazon recently, which is a good thing since people tend not to bother reviewing on there so much. Barnes and Noble, and iTunes, and even Goodreads, are places where people seem keen to review. Amazon? Not so much. I know I’m not the only one with a very low purchase-to-review ratio. I wonder what puts people off from leaving a review on Amazon?
Then again, I’ve never left an Amazon review in my life, so I guess I can’t criticise, can I? And not all reviews are good, though it’s still pretty flattering that someone bothered to write up such a lengthy review of something I wrote at all (even if they did pretty much hate it). I don’t mind the odd bad review (as long as it’s cushioned by lots of good ones, naturally!), you usually learn more from the bad ones than from the good ones anyway!
Finally, check out my friend Katie Clover’s short story Unbeatable over at Smashwords. It’s free, it’s short and it’s a great erotic short story. Frankly, I’m jealous and I wish I’d written it. It’s about a woman who has had cancer, and it goes to places that I’ve never seen covered before in erotic fiction. It’s very explicit, though, so be warned, and if you’re under 18 you should maybe give it a miss.
