Late one night, Julia and Henry arrive at a dark, remote house. They're running from something terrifying, but Julia insists that they'll be fine if they simply follow her rules.

The first rule is simple: no outside contact.

The second rule should be easy: ignore any strange noises in the house.

The third rule is almost impossible: don't talk about anything that happened in the previous twenty-four hours, and especially not the incident at the service station.

But have they been followed? And is something deadly already lurking in the house? As Henry starts to notice strange noises and a mysterious presence, Julia tells him to ignore the darkness and focus on the light. The rules are in place for a reason but Henry's convinced that something is approaching the house. A horrifying secret is about to be exposed, and Julia and Henry are both about to learn that sometimes you simply can't hide from the past.
