As they search for Excalibur, Jess and Duncan find themselves in a small English town where mysterious children are killing the locals. As the mist gathers, however, they quickly discover that the ancient Black Annis is on her way, and that she might be linked to the fate of the children.

The Children of Black Annis is the third book in the ongoing Lupine Howl series, which began in 2012. The book ends on a cliffhanger.
