Following the death of his wife, Edward Moss just wants to be alone. He moves to the family's remote rural cottage, determined to spend his final years surrounded by his beloved books, untroubled by anyone or anything else.

Then he sees the spider.

Edward immediately kills the creature and gets back to his books, but a few hours later another spider appears. Or has the first spider come back from the dead, determined to haunt Edward and drive him out of his mind?
